Accessibility statement

1. Using this website

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. It is designed so that you can:

• navigate using just a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a link to skip to the main content;
• zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen or needing to scroll sideways;
• change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings;
• navigate using headings, landmarks and labelled form fields;
• understand status and meaning without relying on colour, because every status also has an icon and a text label;
• use the website with animation reduced, as it follows your device's reduced motion setting;
• use every control on a touch screen, as controls are at least 44 by 44 pixels on phones and tablets.

2. Compliance status

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. We believe this website is partially compliant with that standard, because of the known issues in section 3 and because it has not yet been tested manually with screen readers or audited independently.

Redactics is not a public sector body, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to us directly. Many of our customers are covered by them, so we follow the same approach and publish this statement in the same format.

3. Known issues

• Product screenshots. Pictures of the application are built from live text rather than images, so they stay sharp when you zoom. Screen readers read the text inside them, which can be long and hard to follow out of context, and some of that text is small. Each screenshot has a caption describing what it shows, and the text around it describes the same capability. We plan to give each screenshot a short text summary and hide its detail from screen readers.
• Calculator sliders. The SAR cost and workload calculators pair each number field with a range slider. The number fields are fully labelled and are the most reliable way to enter values with assistive technology; the sliders can be harder to use precisely.
• Documents we send by email. The procurement pack, templates and emailed calculator estimates have not yet been checked for accessibility. If you need one in a different format, ask us and we will provide it.

4. The application

This statement covers the website at www.redactics.co.uk. The Redactics review application is being built to meet WCAG 2.2 AA, and communicates status with text and icons as well as colour. An independent accessibility audit of the application is planned before general availability. Customers who need accessibility information for their own procurement or accessibility statements can ask us for it.

6. If you are not happy with our response

Organisations that provide services must make reasonable adjustments for disabled people under the Equality Act 2010. If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) in England, Scotland or Wales, or the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland.

7. How we tested this website

This website was last tested on 15 September 2026 by the Redactics team. We tested every one of its 46 pages:

• with automated accessibility testing using axe-core 4.13 against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 level A and AA rules, at desktop (1440 pixels) and phone (390 pixels) widths, which found no failures after the fixes made that day;
• for reflow, clipped text and controls escaping their containers at seven widths from 320 to 1440 pixels, and for touch target size up to 1024 pixels.

Automated testing cannot find every accessibility problem. Manual testing with keyboard only and with the NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver screen readers has not yet been completed, and the website has not been audited by an independent organisation.

8. Preparation of this statement
