Every source, in one case.
Bring emails, attachments, documents, exports and drive folders into one case, with a record of what was collected.
The problem
SAR material lives in mailboxes, shared drives, case systems and personal folders. Collection is done by hand, by different people, over several days. Afterwards nobody can say with confidence exactly what was searched, which is the first thing a complainant or the ICO will ask.
How Redactics handles it
Redactics ingests mailbox exports, Microsoft 365 exports, shared drive folders, PDFs, Office documents, spreadsheets, images and scans into a single case. Every item keeps its original file, metadata and location. Attachments are unpacked and linked to the message they arrived with. Duplicates are grouped rather than silently dropped, so the count you report is the count you collected.
- Mailbox exports (PST, EML, MSG), Microsoft 365 exports and shared drive folders
- Attachments unpacked recursively and linked to their parent message
- Duplicates grouped, with every copy retained for the record
- Collection log: what was ingested, from where, by whom and when

Collection log
- 16:40Case created, scope recorded
- 16:52Mailbox export uploaded (2.1 GB)
- 17:05SharePoint folder connected
- 17:221,207 duplicates grouped, all copies kept
- 17:22Shared team mailbox excluded, reason recorded
- One collection, one search
- Search across every source at once instead of repeating the same search in Outlook, then the drive, then the case system.
- Answer "have we found everything?" with evidence
- The collection log shows what was searched and when. If a source was out of scope, that is recorded too, with the reason.
- Encrypted in transit and at rest
- Uploads land in your chosen UK or EU Azure region and are stored immutably for the life of the case. Nothing is processed outside that region.
